Becoming a Mater Volunteer

   
 

Mater Volunteers are an integral part of Mater Health Services, enabling the hospitals to maintain a wide range of services and support to the needs of patients, relatives and staff.
 
The roles of Volunteers vary according to each hospital’s needs. For more information about our services please visit the Services page.

 

Before continuing, please read the points below and ensure that you understand these minimum requirements.

The majority of our roles are performed between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
After business hours or weekend work is very limited
We are unable to provide voluntary roles for people under the age of 16 years
For many roles commitment to ongoing training is required
Everyone must attend a compulsory Orientation program before commencement
All Volunteers are asked to commit to 4 hours per week for a minimum period of 16 weeks

 

How do I become a Mater Volunteer?

  • Select the date of the information session you wish to attend and after completing the details submit this form by clicking the button on the bottom of the screen.
